Public Links

With Public Links, you can create links that provide direct access to your boards, slideshows, and games. 


Public Links allow you to share content with people who do not have a user account in Board.


Only Managers and Administrators can create Public Links.


From the overview, you can see:

  • The type of content being shared
  • Active to/from
  • Whether the link is locked to a specific IP address
  • When the link was last accessed


From the overview, you can:


Public Links are view-only.

Create Link

  1. Go to Settings
  2. Click Public Links
  3. Click Create Link
  4. Name the link
  5. Set the start date, optionally set a stop date
  6. Choose if it should be locked to a specific IP address
  7. Select which board, slideshow, or game the link should point to
  8. Click Save



View Link

How do I view the created links? 

  1. Go to Settings
  2. Select Public Links
  3. Click the public link 
  4. In the pop-up window, copy the link
  5. Share the link with the people who need access 


Edit Link 

To edit an existing Public Link: 

  1. Go to Settings
  2. Select Public Links
  3. Click Edit 
  4. Update the name, start or end date, or IP lock settings as needed
  5. Save your changes



Delete Link 

Do you have a link that should no longer be active? 

  1. Go to Settings
  2. Select Public Links
  3. Click Delete
  4. Confirm with Yes


If someone tries to access a deleted link, they will see the message: The link was not found




Export Public Link

Only the Organization Owner can export a list of all Public Links to Excel.


  1. Go to Settings
  2. Click Public Links
  3. Click Export
  4. The file will be downloaded automatically. If it does not, click the download prompt in your browser.
