What is a Shift Type?

A shift type indicates the nature of the shift. It assigns a color to the shift in the shift plan and allows employees to see the title of the shift type in their shift overview.

In the shift plan, a shift type is represented by coloring the entire shift according to its assigned color. You can filter by shift types in the schedule by clicking on the filter option in the top right corner (see image 2).

How to Create a Shift Type

To create a shift type, follow these steps:

  1. Click on the "Various" menu.
  2. Select "Systemsettings."
  3. Go to the "Shifts" tab.
  4. Click the green plus sign next to Shift Types.
  5. Enter a "Title," select a "Division" and choose a color for the shift type.
  6. Click "Save."
