There are 2 ways of creating types and categories for your products which will be explained in this guide. Creating categories and types for your products helps you gain a better overview within the Products menu section.
Products with the same category will be grouped together. Types helps further classify products into types that will be grouped and displayed sequentially.
Creating Categories and Types
Systemsettings
To create these two under systemsettings follow these steps:
- Navigate to Various
- Go to Systemsettings
- Click the tab Reporting
- Click on the green + icon next to either Product Categories or Product Types to create a new one
- Fill in a title an select a division
When these have been created they can be chosen in a dropdown when creating new product. Learn more about products here.
