In Work, you must have clients in order to create projects. Projects are where your employees clock in and out.
However, a client does not necessarily have to be an actual client. You can name it "Internal" or use your organization's name if you do not have external clients.
Learn more about client setup here.
You can see an overview of the organization's clients under Reporting > Clients. The clients you have access to depend on the following factors:
- Permission Clients: See overview
- This permission must be enabled to access the "Clients" menu
- Hierarchy and Division
- These determine which clients you can view in the overview
- If you belong to an employee group within a division that has full control, you will be able to see all clients in the organization.
- Assigned as Responsible for the Client
- If you are listed as the responsible person for a client, you will have access to view this client regardless of the general setup, as long as the "Clients: See Overview" permission is enabled for your employee group.
