Create a test

In IntraManager Work, you can create tests for your employees.


Follow these steps to create a test:

  1. Click on the "Staff" menu.
  2. Then select "Test".
  3. Click "Create" in the upper right corner.
  4. Fill in the fields on the different tabs.
  5. Click "Save" and your test is now created.

You can use your test as a step in an education via the education module in Work. Learn more about the education module here.


The different tabs will be explained in the following steps.


Test Basic Info

In this first tab, start by giving your test a title.

Next, decide which department the test should be active in.

Lastly, on this tab, you can choose an image from the standard images or upload one from your computer.


Test Settings

On this tab, you can provide a more detailed description of what the test entails.

You can then choose whether an employee will be assigned a competency upon passing the test. 


You can only select from the competencies you have created in the system settings.


You also have the option to set the percentage of correct answers required to pass the test.

Additionally, you can choose whether to display the top three performers who passed the test.

You can decide whether the answers should be visible to participants after completing the test.


Note that if the answers are visible, it will be easier for the employees if the test needs to be retaken.


Finally, you can make the test mandatory. If you set this to "Yes," you will have the option to enable forced repetition, allowing you to specify the minutes/days/months after the test was last taken. You can also enable forced repetition if the test is not passed.

If you choose "Yes, after employment period," you can specify the minutes/days/months after employment when the test must be taken.


Test Participants

On this tab, you select which employees or employee groups should take this test.

You can always add or remove test participants.


Questions

This tab is where you create the questions that will make up the test. You can always add more questions to the test at a later time.

Here’s how to create the test questions:


Question Info

Here, you enter your question.

You can also enable an explanation for the answer, providing the test participant with a description of why the answer is correct.


Answer Options

This is where you create the number of answer options you want for your question. To create an answer option, simply click "Create answer option."

You can also choose whether the answer options should appear in random order.


With a random order of answer options, participants cannot ask others which option they selected unless they remember the exact wording.



Additional Question Settings

Finally, you can specify different texts for the following:

  • A brief text displayed under the question if additional description is needed.
  • A closing text if the question is answered correctly.
  • A closing text if the question is answered incorrectly.

Once you’ve completed all the steps and created all the questions and answer options, your test is ready for your employees to take, either as it is or as part of an education in the education module in Work.
