With notifications, you have the option to highlight news and events on boards, games and slideshows. You also have the option to send notifications to Microsoft Teams.

To create notifications, you must have the Manager or Administrator role.

How to set up notifications

1. Navigate to Notifications
2. Click Create notification 
3. Choose between Integration, Newsticker or Pause

Integration

1. Give your notification a title
2. Choose your data source
3. If you want to customize filters, it is possible under 'Manage Filters'. If you want to filter by teams or users in Board, this is also possible
4. Choose a predefined condition template or define your own
5. Finish by clicking Save

The options for what the notification is based on will vary depending on the data source you have chosen.

When your notification is set up, you can add actions to your notification. 

Show on Screen

You can easily create actions that pop up on your board, game or slideshow when an action has been triggered, for example, when a person has made a sale.

You can choose between different action types, highlighting each individuals performance with e.g. stars, displaying actions on a collective level with banner or setting up a Video action, with a YouTube video. 

You can add several actions to your notification.

1. Click on Add action
2. Choose Show on screen
3. Select a action
4. Give the action a title
5. Customize the action:
   1. Choose whether you want sound with your notification. Each time the notification pops up, it will play the selected sound. Additionally, you can adjust the notification duration
   2. In the next step, you can customize the visual, you can show image, name, add text, and use merge fields with to customize your content
6. Choose the board, game or slideshow you want to add the action to
7. Finish by clicking Save

Show in feed

With Show in feed, you have the option to display each time an action has been triggered. Users the action is shared with can interact with and like this action. This makes it possible to celebrate user performance.

1. Click on Add action
2. Choose Show in feed
3. Give the action a title
4. Customize the action:
   1. Customize the visual with design, text and merging fields
5. Share the action, you can share the action with all, roles, teams or users 

Once you have selected who the content should be shared with, click on 'Next.' You will then see a list of the individuals with whom the content is shared, along with information on whether it is shared via role, team, or directly. 

Send in Microsoft Teams

Keep your team up to date with automated updates and instant notifications in Microsoft Teams whenever an action is triggered in Board.

Before you can set up this action, you should follow these steps:

Add IntraManager to your App Catalog

Sending notifications to your Microsoft Teams channels requires the IntraManager bot to be uploaded to your Microsoft Teams App Catalog.

There may be limitations due to your organization’s setup, for example if your IT department has disabled the ability to add apps in Microsoft Teams.

1. Download the zip file here
2. Go to Microsoft Teams > Click Apps
3. Click Manage your apps > Click Upload an app > Select Upload an app to your org's app catalog
4. Upload the zip file
5. Select a team and channel IntraManager should be added to, hereafter IntraManager will be able to send notifications directly to Microsoft Teams
6. Click Set up a bot to finish

Set up data source

To set up the integration with Microsoft Teams, we use OAuth 2.0. This ensures a 100% correct integration based on the rights of your Microsoft 365 user

To set up the Microsoft Team integration with Board, simply follow these steps:

1. Go to Settings > Integrations
2. Click on Add Integration and select Microsoft Teams
3. Click Start integration
4. Optionally, click Check credentials to validate the information. If all the details are validated, they will be highlighted in green
5. Finish by clicking Save

How to set up the action

1. Click on Add action
2. Choose Send in Microsoft Teams
3. Name the action with a title
4. Choose channel 
5. Add a text to customize your action, you can use the merging fields to see amount etc. 
6. Finish by clicking Save

Newsticker

With Newsticker, you have the option to display news running across the of the screen. Add content and choose the color of your text. 

1. Give your notification a title
2. Customize your notification with text and text color
3. Select which board, game and/or slideshow the notification should appear on. You can always add your notifications to your boards, games and slideshows afterward.
4. Finish by clicking Save
   

If no color is selected, a default color is selected. The color of the newsticker, is determined by your selected color theme. 

If you want multiple news items to run across the screen consecutively, simply create additional news notifications and assign them to your board, game or slideshow.

Pause

With Pause, you can set up break notifications.

1. Give your notification a title
2. Choose a sound
3. Customize your notification with text size and text
4. Select the start time, and choose how long the break should be displayed on the notification that will pop up on the screen.
   1. If you want to include multiple breaks in the same notification, click 'Add' to include another break. To delete a break, simply click 'Delete.'
      
5. Select which board, game and/or slideshow the notification should appear on.
6. Finish by clicking Save

You can always add your notifications to your boards, games and slideshows afterward.
